Winter Breaks In Perth and Perthshire

A lady drinks a cup of coffee

When it comes to short breaks in Perthshire, each and every season holds its own special draw.  Summer brings with it Southern Fried Festival, Perth Racecourse jump season and dozens of beautiful gardens throughout the area.  Autumn, of course is Big Tree Country with sensational colours flooding the hillsides from Perth City to Blair Atholl and the award-winning Enchanted Forest lighting up Loch Faskally.

What though, does winter bring? ‘Scotland is so cold’ you will hear people say. ‘There’s not much to do’ they will go on.  Think again everyone.  Perthshire is a beautiful, wintery wonderland between January and March with frost glistening from those same blankets of trees, snowy landscapes opening out across hillsides and a whole host of cultural activities, shopping and history just waiting to be enjoyed and explored.
